Since opening in April 2023, Maxwell has become a sought-after venue for events that bring New York’s creative industries together.
Notable gatherings include a Chanel Photoshoot, CAA's Tony's Party, Tommy Hilfiger, The New York Times, Andy Roddick & One White Street, Spotify, Netflix, Anna Wintour with Jonathan Cohen, Matt Damon with Elevate to name a few, and have been covered in the press by the likes of New Yorker Magazine, Elle Decor and Town & Country.
Maxwell takes its inspiration from its namesake, Elsa Maxwell, a well-known society hostess of the early 20th century, who believed memorable gatherings were about shared experience, not spectacle. Her reputation for throwing elaborate, theatrical parties that were a spectacle of entertainment and social intrigue lives on subtly through the tone and atmosphere of Maxwell’s events today.
The space is designed for connection and celebration. The kitchen is part of the room, not hidden from it, encouraging gatherings that feel more like a great dinner party than a formal event, and contributes to a setting where celebration is intuitive and unscripted.
During New York Fashion Week, Maxwell hosted parties thrown by Tommy Hilfiger and The Cut, transforming our rooms into epicenters of fashion industry celebration. From CAA’s Tony’s party to private dinners, events at Maxwell have added to the cultural rhythm of Tribeca.
Each gathering adds another layer to the ongoing story of the space, a setting that supports both celebration and collaboration.
Whether it’s a wrap party, a brand launch, or a long-awaited reunion, Maxwell provides an environment where gatherings feel purposeful and personal. Book a tour now!
