How much does Maxwell membership cost?

Membership starts at $250 per month. Join with friends and pricing drops. All memberships include full access to our mansion during open hours, all regular programming — family dinners, coworking, events — and bar access.

What are the qualifications I need to have to be a member?

Join Maxwell because you crave connection, connection that’s increasingly fragile and fake in today’s fast-paced, virtually-driven world. We are entrepreneurs, thinkers, artists, curators, futurists, economists, inventors. We appreciate beauty, taste, ideas, experiences, meaning. And we recognize that everything we value depends on person-to-person interaction, being challenged, being supported, being exposed to others’ points of view. Maxwell fosters this type of community. And our members help us build it. If that sounds like you, then join us. The one practical requirement: you must be based in or regularly visiting New York City, since membership is tied to the physical Tribeca location.

What’s the difference between Maxwell membership tiers?

Maxwell’s tiers aren’t bought. They’re about how much you contribute, show up and bringing others along with you. The structure reflects a core belief: the more you invest in the community, the more it gives back. As you engage, collaborate, and help shape Maxwell’s culture, your access expands accordingly. Give more, get more. Everyone starts in the Housemate tier, after which you can move up to Insider. The highest tier is Exec which is maintained through ongoing contribution and leadership.

What exactly is a cohort at Maxwell Social?

At Maxwell, we join in cohorts. A cohort is a curated group of 10-20 new members who join Maxwell at the same time and go through their first three months together. We encourage all past members to join all welcome dinners and events for new members. New members are paired with a member buddy from the existing community. The cohort is how Maxwell makes sure you don’t walk in knowing no one, you start with real connections from day one.

Three steps: 1. Submit an application — we look for spirit, not status. 2. Interviews with founders and members — chat with the ones you’ll be spending time with most. Share personal anecdotes and funny embarrassing stories. 3. Join a cohort — if you're a fit, you're placed in the next incoming group.

How many guests can Maxwell accommodate?

It depends on the room and layout. The Grand Room is the most flexible — it can be configured for seated dinners for up to 80 guests, ceremonies, lounge setups, or open-floor layouts. The Garden Room is better suited for intimate dinners and daytime events with patio access. Both rooms together can accommodate up to 300 guests total.

What is Maxwell Studios?

Maxwell Studios is the in-house full-service events production arm built to handle everything from concept to execution under one roof. It was created so clients don't have to coordinate between a venue and a separate production company. It handles event design and production, AV and lighting, guest list curation & influencer relations, culinary & chef collaboration, staffing & logistics, furniture & equipment, content creation, photo and film shoots, and brand activations.
