Sara Landon: Crafting Unforgettable Experiences

Sara Landon brings two decades of experience to every event she touches. She launched her career at the Friars Club of Beverly Hills, then spent years working with Wolfgang Puck’s Hollywood catering team—producing events like the Academy Awards, Grammys, and film premieres—before founding Sara Landon Events in New York City in 2014. Her foundation in both design and large-scale hospitality means each gathering she creates feels polished yet surprising, always rooted in personality.

Hospitality Meets Global Adventure

One of her most memorable weddings took place on Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas—an island devastated by Hurricane Dorian. Sara and her team foraged local greenery and worked with Bahamian vendors to reconstruct a multi-day celebration that included boat rides, a Sangeet by the beach, and intimate pool-side dinners. It became a weekend of healing and joy, shaped by local collaboration and intention.

A Reputation Built by Word-of-Mouth

Sara’s reputation spreads organically. Her WeddingWire page shows a perfect 5‑star rating across nearly fifty reviews, many calling her “a motivational coach, artistic visionary, therapist, and friend all rolled into one,” and praising her ability to pivot on short notice—from building centerpieces when no florist was available to signing a marriage license when officiants fell through. Her clients consistently highlight Sara’s calm professionalism, early response time, design acuity, and relentless presence.

What Makes Her Unique

Sara combines structure with spontaneity. She begins planning by securing what she calls “The Big Three”—venue, photographer, entertainment—to give every event a backbone. From there, she layers in design direction that reflects the couple’s story, whether through mood, materials, or pacing. She advises couples to stay within a budget and prioritize authenticity: “Don’t try to impress anyone else,” she says. Her approach marries personal vision with firm logistics, balancing whimsy and practicality.

The Invisible Symphony of a Sara Landon Event

Guests rarely see the architecture behind a seamless event—but they feel it. Sara’s team navigates coordination with intuition, adjusting timelines, seating, and vendor flow so hosts truly feel like guests at their own gathering. Families and guests often note that everything “felt calm, joyous, and effortless,” even in complex destination or multi-day scenarios.
