Midnight Munchies

by David Litwak | 2025-01-30

We lit the stove, turned up the music, and launched our first ever original content series filmed live, Midnight Munchies. The idea was to connect late night cravings, intimate conversations, and a full-on house party, our version of BOILER ROOM or NPR’s Tiny Desk, but for food – celebs and chefs cooking up their favorite drunken munchies in the kitchen and doling it out to the party.

What is “Midnight Munchies”?

Midnight Munchies is a late-night cooking show set inside actual Maxwell parties. We pull an up-and-coming chef (or culinary-inclined guest), a few surprise attendees, and shoot casual, tipsy, late-night kitchen cooking sessions. The chef’s cook their favorite drunk munchies and dole it out to revelers in real time and we film it all.

It's Hot Ones meets Kitchen Confidential meets Chicken Shop Date. There's nothing polished though, no set pieces - just sizzling pans, good stories, and whoever wandered into the kitchen after midnight.

From the start we knew we didn’t want this to be a branded series about Maxwell. That’s what our blogs Soiree and Cafe Society are for. But we realized:

No one else has a kitchen like ours.

No one else throws a party like we do.

No one else has a mansion like we do.

What’s the perfect type of cooking show considering those advantages?

Drunk munchies.

Our first video is out now - just a couple minutes long but packed with energy, laughter and late-night flavor. Check it out here. More episodes like this are in the works.

Our larger goal with Maxwell Studios is to develop more and more media brands like Midnight Munchies along with our brand partners (interested? reach out!) – we believe that in order to get the word out about the community we’re building at Maxwell we need to show, not tell, and importantly we need to own the top of funnel media channels that allow people to discover us.

If you know someone (or if you’re someone) who belongs on the show, hit us up – chef, creators, or just a friend who makes a wild snack when they’re tipsy - everyone is welcome!

Need help producing your event?

We built Maxwell Studios to provide full service, vertically integrated creative production, built from inside the very walls where our community has been coming alive since 2021.
