KinKa was founded by Tom and EunYoung Sebazco in the summer of 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Opening during such an uncertain time became a humbling and gratitude-filled experience. Even as people were hesitant to step inside, they still stopped to talk and share moments of connection, a small but meaningful reminder of community during isolation. This period shaped Kinka’s identity, reinforcing the importance of positivity, human connection, and a more personal, community-focused approach.
On April 1, 2023, KinKa relocated to the East Village, where it continues to bring together art, food, and plants under one creative space. Supported by long-time patrons and new neighbors alike, the shop now offers expanded classes, workshops, and events designed to spark creativity and cross-pollinate ideas.
KinKa is also growing beyond its main location, developing off-site workshops and experiences centered on culinary arts, botanical education, and handmade craft. Their mission remains rooted in community, creativity, and shared inspiration, inviting everyone to join and be part of the evolving Kinka story.
