Joining Maxwell means investing in yourself and taking an active role in shaping an always-growing family of extroverted New Yorkers. It's an invitation to step inside, show up for others, and build a life worth celebrating.
Our Process
We require 4 interviews to join, making sure there is a mutual fit. Our criteria is simple - “do you/we want to sit next to each other at dinner for 3 hours.”
We Onboard Through Cohorts
Every new member joins a cohort - we invite you to small dinners for the next 3 months with all the new members so you have a community within the community.
Our Rituals
Weekly, monthly and yearly rituals form the backbone of club life. Every Friday there is an open bar happy hour for members and their friends. Twice a month we cook together. Maxwell is a consistent regular spot to make new friends and run into old ones.
Contribution Is Key
Our biggest value is contribution - you get out as much as you put in. Members interview prospective new members, volunteer to plan the wine trip, help cook in the kitchen, and even guest DJ and bartend.
Our Service
It’s your home but everything is taken care of for you. Your very own Alfred or Dorota doting on your eating and drinking needs.
Your permanent kickback spot where your friends are always invited
Chef Jose is serving pancakes in the Garden Room. Your friends are co-working, taking calls, and jamming on ideas together.
The match is on, and the Explorer’s Room has turned into a proper viewing party. Someone who was quietly working five minutes ago is now passionately yelling about offsides.
The bar opened at 5pm and a few members are pouring spritzes at the Open Bar while the playlist warms up.
You smell garlic in the air. It’s Family Dinner tonight — and your cohort is cooking. You set the table, pour a few glasses, and welcome everyone in.
The lights are low, a record is spinning, and someone just brought dessert out to the Grand Room?? You’re still here, enjoying the night. No one wants to call it, and no one’s going to.
